Its name – Titilaka – closely resembles the Peruvian lake it resides on: Lake Titicaca. A place of folklore and mystery (and often lauded as the birthplace of the Incas), this slice of heaven offers the kind of peaceful solitude that can perhaps only be found at 4,000 meters above sea level.
Located on a private peninsula, Titilaka is an enigmatic retreat as unique as its surroundings. The three-story lodge offers 18 lake-view suites (designation is given by sun phase: dawn or dusk, take your pick). Rooms are adorned by local textiles and fresh flowers, with open floor plans and decor that mirrors the serenity of the environment.
