Nestled upon the stunning Alentejo coast of Portugal there once stood a lone field of carnations. When a Lisbon lawyer named Pedro happened upon the meadow years ago, what was an untapped paradise transformed into a remarkable farmland dreamscape.
Craveiral Farmhouse is the tapestry woven from his childhood fantasy come to life. With a force of inspiration after his first child was born, Pedro decided to be the kind of role model that relentlessly pursues their dreams: hence, he got to work building not just a beachside hotel, but an eco-escape that inspires.
Craveiral spans nine hectares of lush land, dotted with 38 uniquely designed houses. From studios to exclusive two-bedroom houses with private pools, each one is a haven of comfort — complete with local art, organic amenities, and terraces perfect for basking in the Alentejo sun.
Every retreat here is an invitation to connect with the earth and its bounty. Only 4% of the vast property is built upon, ensuring minimal environmental impact and plenty of room to soak up the surrounding nature. Trekking, horseback riding, bike rides to the beach, and picnics in the pine forest are all on the itinerary here.
