EVAN PRAVDA
Senior General Manager, Collective Governors Island
Evan is a native New Yorker born and raised just north of NYC. He has spent the majority of his career living, working and learning in NYC; including getting his MBA at Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business in 2013. Evan left NY for four years to Miami Beach to open the landmark property: The Marlin Hotel. He loves being immersed in hospitality — his passion is spending time where the guest is served. The first vacation he took with his-now wife, was to Post Ranch Inn; there his interest in an experiential outdoor hospitality environment started.
He loves spending time outdoors visiting nearby farms and hiking local trails with his wife, Meghan, and his three children (Freddie, Penny and Daphne). After a stint in California in the early days of the pandemic his love for the outdoors was reignited. He started running again! Post pandemic Evan joined AutoCamp Hotel Group to open and operate their AutoCamp Catskills location. Evan is coffee-obsessed, a wannabe chef (sometimes mistaken for Bobby Flay) and occasionally enjoys a good scotch and cigar.
Travel Ritual:
When traveling to a new (or familiar) place I never miss an opportunity to go for an early morning run. Venturing out on a run allows me to immerse myself in the local landscape and architecture.
