Collective Retreats Governors Island is accessible exclusively by ferry, offering a scenic and serene approach to your retreat.
From Manhattan:
Ferries depart from the Battery Maritime Building at 10 South Street.
Nearby subway stations:
- 1 train to South Ferry Station
- 4/5 trains to Bowling Green Station
- R/W trains to Whitehall Street Station
Each is a short walk to the terminal.
From Brooklyn:
Seasonal weekend service is available from Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Be sure to check schedules for availability.
Alternative Ferry Service:
The NYC Water Taxi also provides access to Governors Island, arriving at Yankee Pier, a convenient alternative depending on your departure location.
Evening Ferry Access:
Evening ferries run until 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. These are reserved for registered guests of Collective Retreats and other evening visitors.
